The leading biocomputing and drug discovery platform co-founded by Robin Li, CEO of China’s tech giant Baidu, BioMap is excited to announce its cooperation and establishment of a joint lab with Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI).

Below is a brief overview of the collaboration and upcoming ceremony. About BioMap and MBZUAI’s cooperation and joint labBioMap is cooperating with the world-class artificial intelligence research institution MBZUAI to build the first biocomputing innovation research laboratory in the Middle East. Located on MBZUAI’s campus, the laboratory will promote sustainable development and human health in the region through large-scale life science models.
About the signing ceremonyThe signing ceremony will take place in the visitor’s center on MBZUAI’s campus, with several ecosystem partners from BioMap, MBZUAI, academia, and the AI and biotech industry in attendance. The event will feature speeches from Jiarun Qu, Vice President of BioMap Corporate Strategy and Managing Director of BioMap’s Industrial Fund, and representatives from MBZUAI. - Co-founded by Robin Li, CEO of China’s tech giant Baidu in 2020, the company has built over 12,000 m² of high-throughput labs in Beijing and Suzhou, China, as well as in Silicon Valley, California in the US.
- With its world-leading bio-computing engine the company has initiated more than 30 in-house R&D projects based on immune-oncology and autoimmune epidemiology, and has established more than 10 co-development collaborations with leading global institutions through its Grand Challenges program.
- Most recently the company partnered with Harbor BioMed to discover a new NK-cell-related immunologic candidate molecule, bringing new possiblities for the teatment of various immune-related diseases.
